Torr Works, Somerset, Aggregate Industries flagship quarry
The Challenge
Torr Works had two requirements: new health and safety signage for a building which had undergone a change of use, coupled with new signage for the site covering road signs, speed limits and wayfinding. Both sets of signage were to ensure a safe and compliant environment for staff and visitors and despite the scale of the project, lead times were short.
The Solution
Stocksigns were able to provide the complete and timely solution that covered all aspects of the project, from site survey to design, production and installation of all the necessary signage.
The Process
Within a week of contact, our experienced Survey Manager undertook a comprehensive site survey and produced a detailed scheme of works and full quotation. This included full risk assessment and method statements to ensure safe practice of work when our Installation Team were on site.
The quote was accepted and we proceeded to production with our standard health and safety signs. For the bespoke custom made signs, our in house graphics team generated a detailed artwork proof and this was duly approved by the customer. Production was completed in seven days, ahead of schedule.
The signed were then transported to Somerset and over the course of four days our highly skilled and experienced Installation Team installed the signage. Guided by the detailed Survey Scheme installation was promptly completed.
The Result
Stocksigns successfully completed the project on time and within budget. Aggregate Industries were delighted with the outcome, with James Ashman commenting that “Stocksigns met the challenge set before them and we wouldn’t hesitate in referring them for future works”
